Classic Pecan Pie

3 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
Dash of salt
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 c. pecan halves
1 pie crust in 9" pie plate

Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar and salt; stir until dissolved. Stir in corn syrup and butter. Mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes with edge of crust covered with pie ring or tin foil. Remove ring or foil and back 25 minutes more or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool, then chill to store.
